Frequently Asked Questions
Most cheap hosting packages use shared resources for serving your WordPress site. This means your site is on a server with 1000s of other sites. In this situation, internet bandwidth and server CPU time can be significant bottlenecks.
We will do everything we can to turbo boost your site, and in some cases a CDN can help. However, we can only speed things up to the speed of your hosting provider. Sometimes, the only option is to upgrade to a better hosting package or provider.
At minimum, we will need administrator access to your WordPress site. You do not need to share your personal administrator username or password. A temporary administrator user can be created that we will use. When we have finished our work and you are satisfied with the results, this user can be deleted.
Additional credentials that may be needed:
- FTP or SFTP
- Domain Registrar
We will not ask for any additional credentials unless it is necessary. If you are not comfortable providing these credentials, in some cases, we can tell you what / how to make the necessary change.
Yes, we will work directly on your live site. We will be making incremental changes to eliminate bottlenecks and turbo boost your site response times. The best way to verify the results of our work is on your live site in its production hosting environment.
Before beginning any work, the first thing we will do is take full backup of your site using the UpdraftPlus plugin. Your backup will be stored in the cloud in a private Amazon S3 bucket for security and redundancy. Once we have finished our work and you are satisfied with the results, we will delete your backup data.

In most cases yes. Many of the techniques we use will affect your entire site. Each service offering comes with a number of individual pages that can be specifically turbo boosted.
Many CDN providers will charge a monthly fee. We will work with any CDN provider you choose. CloudFlare is a well known, popular, CDN that we are happy to setup.
Each service offering includes support for a limited time after we have finished our work. Basically, if there is a problem with your site caused by any of the optimization techniques we used, we will fix it free.
It’s very simple, if we are unable to increase your site response time or you are not satisfied with our service, we will refund your money. No questions asked.
Unfortunately, there are the occasional sites or situations that prevent us from achieving significant performance increases. If this is the case, we can work with you on an hourly basis to correct the issues. Of course, there is always the option of refunding your money.
Some situations that are out of scope for our turbo boost service offerings are:
- Low quality hosting plan is often the biggest problem. We will do the best we can to tune your site, however most of the time it requires upgrading your hosting package or migrating to a new hosting provider.
- Troubleshooting custom development work that is slowing things down.
- Outdated, obscure, or poor quality plugins.
- Windows servers. WordPress is designed to run on Linux and can be very difficult to work with on Windows. If this is the case, we can migrate your site to Linux.
- Server OS level configuration. Can be done for additional hourly charge.
- Too much load on the server, such as to traffic to your site. A CDN can be a big help here. Especially when combined with our turbo boost package.
Please contact us if you think your site fits any of these conditions. We will work with you to find a solution, even if we do not end up doing the work.
Of course! Besides seeing a noticeable difference in your site load times. We will provide a detailed report that outlines the changes we made and the overall speed increases for your site.
Our goal is to turbo boost your site in 24 hours. In reality, it may take 3 to 5 business days. This includes analysis, fixes, and the final report.
